Currently I am working on Dichterbij: a contemporary literary (Dutch) novel. Inspired by Dante’s ‘Divina Commedia,’ we follow a woman in motion: through a series of intimate scenes that move between childhood and adulthood the novel explores how a body learns to claim space, freedom and direction. Without linear resolution, the story traces an inner journey toward autonomy, shaped by memory, movement and the quiet courage to leave.
